- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
- Add Lemon Juice and Sweetener:
- Add the fresh lemon juice and honey (or agave syrup) to the pitcher. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
- Combine with Water:
- Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Adjust Sweetness:
- Taste and adjust the sweetness if necessary, adding more honey or agave syrup to taste.
- Chill:
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve:
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and fresh basil leaves.
