Lavender & Honey Gummy Bears

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Lavender-Infused Water:
    • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a simmer over medium heat. Once simmering, remove from heat and add the dried lavender. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.
    • Strain the lavender-infused water into a bowl, discarding the lavender flowers. Return the infused water to the saucepan.
  2. Add Honey:
    • Add the honey to the lavender-infused water and heat gently over low heat, stirring until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Dissolve Gelatin:
    • Gradually sprinkle the gelatin powder over the lavender-honey mixture, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Continue whisking until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
    • If using, stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Fill Molds:
    • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
    • Using a dropper or spoon, carefully fill the silicone gummy bear molds with the lavender-honey mixture.
  5. Set Gummy Bears:
    • Refrigerate the molds for at least 2 hours, or until the gummy bears are firm and set.
  6. Store:
    • Once set, remove the gummy bears from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
