Green Tea, Lemon & Ginger Gummies

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients:
    • Brew 1 cup of green tea and let it cool. Grate fresh ginger and squeeze lemon juice to have everything ready.
  2. Combine Liquids:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine the cooled green tea, lemon juice, and grated ginger. Stir well to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
  3. Add Sweetener:
    • Add honey or maple syrup to the mixture and stir until it is fully dissolved, adjusting the sweetness to your taste.
  4. Heat Mixture:
    • Heat the mixture over medium heat until it becomes warm, but be careful not to bring it to a boil, as high heat can destroy some of the beneficial properties of the ingredients.
  5. Add Gelatin:
    • Slowly sprinkle the gelatin powder into the warm liquid while whisking constantly to prevent clumping. Continue whisking until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  6. Optional: Add Turmeric:
    • If using turmeric powder, add it now and stir until well combined. Turmeric not only adds a lovely golden color but also provides additional anti-inflammatory benefits.
  7. Pour into Molds:
    • Carefully pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds or a small baking dish lined with parchment paper. Silicone molds work best for easy removal.
  8. Chill:
    • Place the molds or dish in the refrigerator and let them chill for at least 2-3 hours, or until the gummies are firm and fully set.
  9. Unmold and Store:
    • Once set, remove the gummies from the molds or cut them into squares if using a baking dish. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
