
Dressing:
- 1 cup oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 1/2 cups white vinegar
- 10-12 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
Directions:
- Prepare the Vegetables:
- Slice the cabbage, cucumbers, red onion, radishes, and celery thinly.
- If using green peppers, slice them as well.
- Place all the sliced vegetables in a large bowl.
- Make the Dressing:
- In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and salt. Stir until dissolved.
- Add the vinegar and oil to the mixture and mix well to combine.
- Combine and Pack:
- Pour the dressing over the sliced vegetables and mix thoroughly, ensuring all the vegetables are well coated.
- Pack the salad tightly into jars, leaving a little room at the top.
- Pour any leftover dressing equally into the jars to cover the vegetables.
- Refrigerate and Serve:
- Refrigerate the jars until ready to eat. The salad will develop its flavor as it sits and can be enjoyed for several weeks.
